A BRIEFING DEVOTED TO THE FIRST CASPIAN ECONOMIC FORUM WAS HELD IN ASTRAKHAN

On May 14, 2019, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) together with diplomats from Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Iran held a briefing in the Caspian Institute of Sea and River Transport of Russia in the city of Astrakhan, on the First Caspian Economic Forum (SCEF) which is scheduled to be held on August 12, 2019 in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza".

The briefing was attended by the heads of the ministries of international and foreign economic relations, industry, transport and natural resources, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Astrakhan region, the Astrakhan Fund for Support of Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship, representatives of Russian business and academia, as well as regional media.

The consulate presented the concept of the upcoming forum, showed a video about the economic potential of Turkmenistan, and presented the site of the SCEF, where you can register online for participation in the forum. The important role of the initiatives of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, aimed at giving new powerful impulses to international business partnership in the Caspian Sea basin and adjacent territories in different directions, was emphasized.
