The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Pakistan express the aspiration to intensify the interstate dialogue

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain.
During the telephone conversation, the leaders of Turkmenistan and Pakistan noted the high level of bilateral relations and confirmed the readiness for their further development. Speaking about the interstate relations in the political sphere, the interlocutors noted the coincidence of views of the two countries on the important issues of modern time, in particular, in ensuring peace and security and achieving the sustainable development goals.
Underlining that Pakistan supports all international initiatives of the Turkmen state, President Mamnoon Hussain highly appreciated the tremendous work carried out by our country under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the aim to promote the constructive proposals, in particular to ensure energy security and create a modern transport and communication system.
Thanking for the support provided in the implementation of creative initiatives, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan had the greatest respect for the international authority and the significant role of Pakistan in the world. The Turkmen leader also called for the enhancement of joint cooperation in order to ensure stability, security and prosperity in the region.
During the conversation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited his Pakistani counterpart to take part in the upcoming events in the second half of February - the ceremonies of laying the Afghan section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, and the fiber-optic communication line on the same route, as well as the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power lines, and the festivities on the occasion of putting the Serhetabat-Turgundi railway, built at the expense of Turkmenistan, into operation.
Expressing sincere gratitude for the invitation, President Mamnoon Hussain reaffirmed his readiness to participate in events that are of great importance for the sustainable development of the region. Emphasizing the high interest of Pakistan in building up cooperation with Turkmenistan in the energy sector, including in the sphere of electricity and gas supplies, the head of the friendly state said that the construction of the TAPI transnational gas pipeline would promote the development of economic cooperation in all directions - not only in the regional, but in the global level as well.
Speaking about the partnership in the transport and communication sphere, the Pakistani leader emphasized the importance of the initiatives put forward by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the creation of interregional transport corridors. In this regard, President Mamnoon Hussain reaffirmed the willingness of his country to join the projects initiated by the Turkmen leader in this field.
Having positively assessed the progress in mplementing the intergovernmental agreements, the interlocutors specified the priority areas of cooperation in the context of modern realities and with a view to the future. Noting that the diplomatic relations between the two countries celebrated the 25th anniversary this year, the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Pakistan reaffirmed the readiness to further unite their efforts in the interests of the two countries.
Speaking about cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, the leaders of the two countries called for the intensification of the interstate relations and the implementation of new joint projects.
Expressing belief in the further development of the the constructive dialogue between Turkmenistan and Pakistan based on the trust, openness and mutual understanding, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Mamnoon Hussain congratulated each other on the coming New Year and addressed the peoples of the two countries prosperity and wellbeing.
