A CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE TASKS ARISING FROM THE COMMON LESSON OF THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN WITH THE TURKMEN YOUTH WAS HELD AT THE IIR OF THE MFA OF TURKMENISTAN

On September 3, 2021, a Conference dedicated to the tasks arising from the common lesson of the President of Turkmenistan with the students and pupils about history, about the duty and obligations of the young generation was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The heads and officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, country’s diplomatic service preceptors, the leadership of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, Institute of the Caspian Sea, professors and lecturers of the IIR of the MFA of Turkmenistan participated to the Conference.       

The heads of the diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan in foreign countries took part at the event by means of videoconferencing.

The speakers at the Conference noted special significance of the historical speech of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov about the traversed historical path of our independent neutral Motherland, about social development of our peoples, about the duty and obligations of the modern youth to the state and society, to their parents and families.

In this context, the key role of wise leadership of the Head of State in shaping a well-rounded generation of modern Turkmen youth was emphasized. There were given the examples of high achievements of the courageous forefathers of Turkmens, who used the principles of humanism and diplomacy in all public and international endeavors.

Youth should be guided by folk wisdom, based on the age-old teachings of our ancestors, said the Head of State, adding that young people should turn the noble principles of our ancestors into their life credo.

The effectiveness of the path of positive neutrality chosen by independent Turkmenistan, leading to the triumph of peace, friendship and brotherhood, was especially emphasized. As the President of Turkmenistan mentioned, the foreign policy of neutral Turkmenistan is the path to the peace, the path calling for friendship and brotherhood all the peoples of our planet.

The special significance of large-scale regional projects implemented with the participation of Turkmenistan in the fields of energy, transport and communications was highlighted. In this context, all-round assistance of the Turkmen side in socio-economic recovery of neighboring Afghanistan was underlined.

During the speeches, it was also noted the constructive character of interaction of Turkmenistan with UNESCO in the context of the development of cultural diplomacy. The representative lists of UNESCO include unique objects and phenomena of the material and spiritual culture of the Turkmen people.

As the Head of State says, young people should apply all their strength, knowledge and abilities to ensure the rapid development of our beloved Motherland and further increase its authority throughout the world.

Summing up the results of the current meeting, the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan addressed a number of proposals and instructions to the diplomatic corps of our country, professors, teachers and students.
