TURKMENISTAN PARTICIPATES IN THE CIS ECONOMIC COUNCIL MEETING

On December 2, on the sidelines of the Eurasian Congress, Moscow hosted the 2021 final session of the CIS Economic Council. Counselor of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation Serdar Durdyev took part in the meeting. The meeting participants exchanged views on important issues of economic cooperation within the CIS and discussed drafts of a number of documents.

According to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee, Director of the Department for Economic Cooperation of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Mikhail Myskin informed meeting participants about the draft Agreement on Free Trade in Services, the establishment, activities and investments of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Nuridin Mukhitdinov, General Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications reported “On the draft Plan of Priority Actions for the Implementation of the Strategy for Ensuring Information Security of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States till 2030”. Andrei Pudov, State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation reported on “Standards for the quality of life”.

A wide range of economic and social issues were presented for signing within the framework of the meeting. The next meeting of the Economic Council will be held at the World Trade Center in Moscow on March 18, 2022, on the same day with the International Economic Forum.
